Welcome...

The documents page now has been updated with several 2010 forms...

UPDATE MARCH 2010:

We have a number of updates for you:

1. Registration: following approval of the new season's subscriptions etc at the AGM we will mail out registration forms to all members the following week;

2. Cricket-Force Weekend - Saturday 27 March and Sunday 28 March:
for many years the Club has held a special get-together one weekend ahead of the season to get everything ready - that's everything from cleaning and painting the pavilion to hosing down the covers, repairing nets, sorting out junior kit and much more.  These weekends which are held at cricket clubs all over the country are now sponsored by Nat West under the label 'Cricket Force'.  This year, covering both Rowledge and our second ground at Binsted, we have our most ambitious work schedule in memory - including building work and improvements at the Rowledge Pavilion.  It's your chance to help us improve.  So if you're able to help for either a day or a morning (9-1) or afternoon (2-5) in any way at all, it will be deeply appreciated by everyone.  Please contact our vice-chairman, Chris Yates at yates.c@sky.com

3. Bar Work:  we are looking for 1-2 paid barmen to help with the bar this season (effectively May until mid-September) - mostly on Friday and, particularly, Saturday nights plus one or two special Sundays. Probably an ideal opportunity for locally-based students.  If you're interested or have someone in mind, please contact the club's bar manager, Neil Metcalfe asap at neilrmetcalfe@hotmail.com

4. Sponsorship and Advertising:  the club has a voracious appetite for funding to provide the facilities and equipment to support (1) our ever increasing playing schedule (a record 16 XIs - yes sixteen! - playing over 200 games in Summer 2010) and (2) our growing programme of coaching activity both in the club, including the new Academy, and local community.  Not surprisingly our ambitions in the sponsorship and advertising sphere, where we now have a developed programme, are growing equally.  While I'm delighted to report that our handbook is sold out, we have many significant sponsorship opportunities available for club-wide sponsorship, individual sections, special events as well as advertising availability in our e-newsletter, website etc.  If you, or your organisation, are able to help in any way with advertising and sponsorship - no matter how small as there are opportunities from as little as £40 - we'd be really pleased to hear from you.
Please contact club chairman Bill Nichols at bill.nichols@astrophel.co.uk

5. Kit: The Club's 2010 kit oder form is now available on the documents page. There are no changes to the Club shirts and sweaters though the Green and Gold 20/20 shirt is now available in Boys and Youth sizes. NEW for 2010 is a bottle green Club Polo shirt with logo at £15.50, Boys and Adult sizes. Orders can be place for all items by either visiting Berkeley Sports or sending your order to: sales@berkeleysports.com

With best wishes

Bill Nichols
Club Chairman

REGISTRATION 2010

Existing members
Registration forms for existing members will be sent out at the end of February 2010. For youth and junior membership these should be returned by Tuesday March 23rd. This will give you priority for admission to our coaching groups.
If you have additional children wishing to join please just add these to the membership list and we will do our best to accept them in the relevant group but we cannot guarantee to accept them if all groups are full. Also complete
the Consent form and make sure that you complete the volunteering section
on the registration form. Please note registration may be declined for those
not wishing to volunteer. There is no self declaration form this year.
Return deadline for all other members is 31st May.

New members
We welcome all new members both playing and social.

If you are looking to join the club this year then please download the registration form , consent form and the 'Welcome form' from the website. You can find these on the ' club documents' page. These will be available from early March 2010. These should be completed and returned.
